Another place for lending a hand to unschoolers in need is De Smith’s Facebook group, The facebook group”>HUG-Helping Unschoolers Group- A point where we can gather for helping each other out in tight spots.
Here is a request for assistance from Kina
Hi! My name is Kina Wolfenstein, I am 15, and I am raising money to go to South America with a company called Unschool Adventures next year. It’s very expensive, and I’m extremely excited about it, so I’m working as hard as I can to make sure I will get there, along with 2 of my closest friends who are also raising money.
My email address is email@example.com – I check it frequently, so please contact me there.
Different options (ways you can help/ways I can help you):
I am still looking to be hired by a business, so if you know of any sort of cafe/restaurant/clothing store/etc. that is hiring, or if you own any company that is hiring, please let me know. I have experience working at a spa, and I love people, including children and babies. (:
For now, I am getting money by doing jobs for people. I’m really good at cleaning, organizing and cooking. (including Laundry). I work hard, and I can bus, and sometimes get a ride to wherever you need me at almost any time, although if you can provide transportation, that would be helpful. I generally charge around 10 dollars an hour.
Another odd job I can do, if anyone is interested, is hair dying/cutting. I have TONS of experience cutting/dyeing my own, and other peoples hair, and it comes easily to me.
I am also organizing a garage sale to have this summer, so if you have any old things that you are looking to get rid of, they could be donated.
My friends and I are selling all natural fruit Popsicles around Portland this summer, so if you have a parkday/birthday party/gathering that you would like there to be natural, yummy frozen treats available during, we can come to that. (:
and last but not least, if you want to make a donation towards the trip, you can do that by paypalling money to firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you so much! Even if those services aren’t helpful to you, please pass on this note!
